ok, maths is not my strong point.

Would there be any point in setting my muplity ( or spelling ) lower and uping the FSB more to try and get the same speed.

The board is Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe with a AM@ 5200+

Just asking cause i can't get faster than 3050 (ish)

Having a higher bus speed will give better performance across the board. It is however more difficult to get stable with higher FSB and a lower multi as you are also stressing your board more.
 
i'll set the RAM on a slow speed, ( from 333 to 200 ) so i works slower, so that when i stick up the speed it will then go higher..
