n00bie graphics card change questions

Hey guys! Expecting an MSI 970 to show up tomorrow

Currently have amd 6950s so whats the process to change them over? Im guessing uninstall the amd driver package, turn off, swap cards, fire it up and install nVidia drivers?

or is there more to it? I only ask as i only get new graphics cards as part of a full build in the past, never really changed them in and out of the same system?

I imagine i dont need to mess with bios etc? Never updated that but wouldnt know how

spot on thanks just uninstall from control panal like normal, no deeper clean needed, if thats even a thing ?

I've just gone from a HD7950 to a GTX980 today, uninstalling the AMD drivers still left quite a bit of detritus behind so I booted into safe mode and ran Display Driver Uninstaller to make sure, all up and running perfectly now.

Ahh ok will keep that in mind ta
