N3V (Auran) Trainz Kickstarter

I'm not sure what the forum rules are regarding posting news of KS projects, so if I'm out of order mods please lock or delete this thread.

Anyhow, for anyone interested in train games or train sims, N3V are trying to raise money via Kickstarter to fund the next edition of "Trainz" (working title is TANE). I'm still in two minds given some of the history of the company (their predecessor Auran nearly went bankrupt after their failed MMO Fury) and KS seems an odd choice for an established company to opt for. Also they really need a lower level pledge that gives money off the finished title.

It has to be good this time. It's main rival, RSC's Train Simulator 2014 is very good and even from it's first incarnation, Railworks, has looked so much better than any of the Trainz games.

TRS2004 was the best version and even that was massively helped by the Razorback Railway. The RR made TRS2004 worth playing for me but now it's gone so any new version of Trainz has to be good out of the box to succeed.
