GoldenEye, Diddy Kong, Perfect Dark, Banjo - They kept me entertained for a few years
 
Multiplayer racing is pretty good in DKR too, but yeah, the battle modes aren't nearly as good as MK.

Also, Lylat Wars is mint, and as the rumoured next N64 game for the VC, I can't wait for it.

Saying that DKR online on the DS spanks all over MKDS online simply for the fact you have 8 racers instead of 4 and you can collide with your opponent.

The N64 was a glorious piece of kit, mine certainly won't ever be going anywhere :)
 
The N64 is my favourite ever console, the games I had and were addicted to are as follows:

1080 Snowboarding

Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Turok 2

The machine actually caused me physical harm :( One day I was due to play a game of tennis with my mate, but before we went I had a hardcore session on mario party, and there was one minigame where you had to rotate the stick as your character peddles on a bike. I used the palm of my hand to do it as fast as possible, at the end of the minigame i looked at my hand only to see a gaping hole. The sweat + friction had caused a huge blister and I couldn't hold the tennis racket later that day :(

But apart from that, best console EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! back in those days I was contempt with a couple of games. I bought it with mario 64 and Diddy Kong Racing and it took a few months before I bought another game. These days i buy a game every week and hardly ever finish them.

Lylat Wars is one of my favourite games of all time, i would explode with excitement if it comes to the VC.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was great too

yeah 1p diddy kong racing was awesome, better than mario kart by a mile. Multiplayer both had their strong points but I played mario kart more.

Star fox aka lylat wars is a must
