Hi Guys

Been using Merlin 374.41 for months and recently had to reboot the router as things slowed down, for me it's had the best wifi coverage

Are there any others out there I could try or is Asus genuine worth a shot, added to the fact that the current one is so old and not as secure

Thanks

Mart

I'm running the latest asus firmware and had no issues with it, Wireless coverage is 4 bars across the house on all devices.

You could always run it for a day or two and see if your happy with the coverage?

Yes I suppose, always has 3rd fw on from day one

I want to setup vpn access to me home pc if I need to do anything remotely

Does the standard fw have this like the 3rd party versions?

Thanks

Yup has VPN support on the Asus firmware :)

Installed the latest Asus firmware but no option to piggy back direct from the BTO fibre box and I don't want it in AP mode so I installed the latest Fork/Merlin firmware and it's working a treat, signal is as good all over the house/Garden, just need to setup a VPN and I'm done
