Hi Guys

My wife is after a new phone but can't decide on what one, she has narrowed her search down to either the N70 or N80, which one should she go for, i ca't see much difference in the spec to be honest.......

TIA

N80 has built in WIFI and is a slide phone so it will be tad more bulkier than the n70.

Id go with the n70 personally, ive used the n80 and its not very user friendly tbh. But thats my opinion and im quite a stickler when it comes to phones, doesnt matter what bells and whistles it has on it...if it doesnt do what i want it to do and do it efficiently then im not interested. I had my n80 for one day before i was fed up with it, slow and generally a hard phone to get on with..even the built in WIFI couldnt sway me to keep it.

I know you mentioned the N70 or N80 but the E60 has been getting good reviews (candybar version of N80 without a camera), so may provide the best of both worlds...

make sure you hold both in your hand and have a play around

i have an N70, and thought N80 was going to be great, but when i held it in my hand, it just felt so ewwwww :p

ringtone problem ?

i just got a n70 on upgrade, and wanted to get a n80 instead, i had a play with the n80 and i didnt like it as much so i stuck with my n70, i use my sony walkman phone when im out and about on the weekend as the n70 is a bit chunky although it really is a great phone.

Yup... If you assign a ringtone to the phone it will generally play the standard nokia tune... Orange blame nokia blah blah blah... Orange take no responsibility blah blah blah... Its not Orange fault (Although when you flash the firmware it works fine for a while as everything is wiped)... But they continue to sell this phone with the fault...

Then its NOT a N70 fault as you stated  but an Orange fault

thats like comparing a ford focus with an aston martin DB9. i.e the n80 is literally generations ahead.

read the spec properly and your choice is made for you...
