N73 Reccommended Apps... (Symbian 60 ver 3)

Ok after first being unsure about my new N73 i'm actually starting to absolutely love this thing. The screen is amazing, the features top-notch, and it just feels about 10x more refined than previous phones i've used. It's also 100% stable with the latest Nokia firmware form the site, not a single hiccup yet.

Anyway i've just spent a good few hours playing with a lot of different apps... some I was familiar with from my N70, and many of which are entirely new. Here's what I reccommend you get your hands on:

All apps are Symbian 60 V3 so will likely work on N80, N93 etc.

Smart Movie Player

THE media app for the N73. After installing the player on your mobile you can install the converter software onto your PC and use it to turn any high-quality .avi or MPEG etc file (pr0n!) into an N73 sized movie masterpiece. I have successfully ripped some of my DVD collection such as The Gladiator and The Matrix and converted them to N73 size and trust me they look utterly fantastic... like an ickle DVD! Agile Messenger

Theme DIY

Create all your own themes on the fly... takes a couple of minutes and lets you do what you want to personalise your phone and make your wallpaper full-screen! best of all, it's freeware! More info here http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/01/theme_diy_4_s60.htm

FS Caller

Basically this little tool shows more info on a contact calling you. You can add full-screen pics, or get audible notifications of who the caller is. very handy! More info here http://www.symplification.com/s60software/paidapps/fscaller

Handy Taskman

Handy Alarm

Alon MP3 Dictaphone

I LOVE this software! lets you use your N73 as a high-quality disctaphone that records in high-quality MP3 (fully customiseable bit-rate) and really is top-notch. Your voice sounds crystal clear and with a high capacity memory card I can really see this being invaluable. Aquacalendar

Blue Radar

This is one seriously cool little tool. It basically scans for local bluetooth devices and warns you whenever one is detected. The beauty of it is that you can set it to warn of only specific phones (your boss, friend etc) and it will even warn you if that persons bluetooth isn't set to be viewed publically! Handy Keylock

Blacklist

What a cool program... it lets you enter a blacklist of numbers you do NOT want calling you... so that any time they call they get a busy tone or SMS message. LCG Jukebox

Xsound MP3 Player

Call Manager

You name it, this lets you do it. I haven't fully tested this app yet, it's very hardcore and requires a bit of exploration, which Richdog doesn't have in him tonight (I blame th Italian wine). Definately worth a look http://www.eltima.com/products/smart-call-manager/

If you don't know what this is then get off the internet, you don't belong here. works beautifully and looks fantastic on the N73 screen

I'll add more progs as I find them but those above are the ones that have really caught my eye today. I am REALLY loving this phone, it's incredibly versatile.
