Hallo, My brother has just given me his N95 as his g/f just bought him a G600?. And its full of crap like videos, music etc. Is there anyways of wiping the card/phone of all contacts. movies etc so its like a fresh "install".

Master reset in one of the settings? Dont know where as i havent had a Nokia in about 7 years

take a good look around the phone first, there might be some apps worth keeping on there (or even vids / pics ;] )

lol ive kept a couple vids and pics yeah

. But i master reset the Memory card and i got rid of the all music etc. but i still have all his contacts and about 1000 messeges to delete lol...

might be worth looking for a message manager app, not sure if one is available or not.
on SE phones you can just delete all in a folder. silly nokia!

Ok the phone is pretty much empty, i just now wanna get rid of all the contacts.
Any quick way of doing it?

From the home screen, type *#7370#

That'll perform a factory reset and wipe EVERYTHING (contacts, photos, videos, any software he's installed, etc).

Its Sorted. while rummaging through the box ive got a hold of the Nokia Suite. And i deleted everything through that. Must admit nice, phone, plenty of stuff crammed in. but the slider feels not loose but not sturdy if you catch my drift. for a expensive phone i would have expected better.

Hmm. I now have a problem. I am getting a message saying "sim card registration full". Im using my old simcard in it. Is this causing the problem. I dont understand though. As it was working before but not now?

Does it say "Sim Card Registration Failed" or is it definitely "Full"? If its 'Failed' then there is a problem with the sim card/the phone is locked or the phone is barred, which seems unlikely since its coming from your brother.

It says Sim Card Registration Full. I know its strange.
