I'd like to hear some user experiences. Is this anything else than a very expensive steptracker / vibrating band for notifications?

Whats it for, Rich? Aside from look cheap on your wrist? Reads like smart-watch/health-tracker but its being marketed as a gaming peripheral?

hmm, if it does sleep tracking and a vibration alarm then this could be right up my street, especially at that price. Extra phone notifications are cool, guessing it has to be within bluetooth range of the phone, but still useful for the times I leave my phone around the house.

I'm not all that fussed about fitness tracking features as my main activity is cycling which none of them cope well with.

Can a phone not do any of the stuff mentioned here? Looks like a piece of plastic with some lights and a Razer price tag added on.

It's very similar to the majority of fitness bands you can currently buy.

The pricing is on par too, the added dimension is that it's Razer and will appeal to gamers more so than a Fitbit or TomTom band probably would.

It's nice to see razer exploring different segments with there products and not just churning over yet more mice & keyboards for us.

yeah agreed.

I think Razer are pushing their lifestyle range quite a bit but their branding has managed to retain its cool outside of just gaming.

I would actually really like to try some of their lifestyle audio products as well as these new smartbands.

Id love to try these out i followed the razer early access program and tried to get one the other week but EU and US sold out in 30 seconds or so :( When they due to land?

Of course a phone can, but you can't carry that on your wrist, or sleep with it...!

Nice money spinner for Razer, just be aware that the lists of apps it 'supports' are not really the popular apps people generally use! (Strava, mapmyfitness, myhealth etc).

For cycling you'd struggle to find a fitband - unless there's one you can wear on your leg which would give you HR & cadence! ;)

(Garmin 810, GSC10 and Wahoo TICKR here, used to use IpBike on a Samsung S5 before the Garmin)

ANT+ ftw!
