NAD Amp loses sound

Hi

My NAD 314 Amp has developed an issue where the right channel cuts out at low volumes, when I turn up the volume the right channel will cut back in

I'm pretty sure its the amp as I have tried it on both CD & PC audio, I have checked all the connections and swaped the L & R speakers round also.

I believe your volume pot is broken.
You can fix this yourself, or bring it to a nad dealer.

Even if the sound cuts out without moving the volume can it still be the pot?

Whats involved fixing it?

I have a damaged cheapy pot in my amp & it cuts out the left channel until it gets to a certain volume.

Are you handy enough with electronics? If I was local to you, I'd come and have a look - but I'm not

I need a balance pot aswell if anyone has a broke NAD

Open up the amp and find out the resistance of the volume pot.

I dont know how the PCB is done - if your multimeter has reasonably thin prongs and you can touch the metal at the bottom of the pot, then you should be fine.
