Nail in tyre ! and where to get replacement ?

Hi,

woke up this morning to a pretty huge nail in my 5 month old tyre

its on the side, so it seems it can not be repaired ??

oh and if i need to get a new tyre, where is the best place ? checked mytyres.co.uk and seems a bit more expensive. bought toyo proxies about 5 months ago from mytyres for like £45, now it is £67 for the same tyre !

You can usually get replacement nails from hardware shops

Just go down to your local garage and ask them how much, my local saved me £10 per tyre on the price from my local tyre place.

bought my eagle F1s from www.blackcircles.com last month. i found them to be the cheapest and the price you pay includes fitting unlike mytyres.co.uk!

could also check ya local COstsco they do tyres aswell, michelin only though iirc

If it isnt in the middle portion of the tyre no self respecting tyre fitter would even attempt to repair it as there are strict limits on what can and cannot be repaired.

quoted me just shy of £230 !!

Crikey tyres are more expensive than I thought! I just got quoted £57.50 EACH for my Fiesta from Kwik Fit!

I was expecting like £35 or something.
