I’m expecting our first child so have just bought a 2015 Nissan Quashqai Tekna.

I’d like to approach a main dealer to enquire on 1) any outstanding recalls which may need attention and 2) ask for a software upgrade to the radio system to resolve some DAB issues.

I purchased the car from a non-Nissan dealership. Can I still approach a Nissan dealer and ask for the work to be done free of charge in this instance. I’m also confused in that what I’m calling a main dealer is effectively Evans Halshaw and/or Bristol Street motors - are they duty bound to this type of work?

Check the cars MOT history , it will tell you if there are any safety recalls on your car.
I bought my Nissan second hand last december and got the airbags replaced due to a safety recall at my local Nissan dealer.

Thanks mate, no recalls listed in the Gov site but I know when I received a recall letter (fire risk) for my Ford Focus it never did show on the Gov site.

Always the worse thing when you buy a car then go on Google and read about timing chain, engine issues etc. Unsettled myself now, always get bloody anxious about these things :(
