name change on a holiday i had booked

booked a holiday to greece for a week with return flights to crete for £75 return, yes i got a good deal a few months ago.
now needed a name change and the difference in fare and admin is £456 from when i booked until now the new booking

geez how do they get away with that.

It might be a bit embarrasing for him to ask his new GF to change her name to match his ex-wife just so they can go on holiday together
