I was reading a review of Tropico 3 the other day and it reminded me of a similar game that was released on PC circa 2000ish. I've been trying to remember the name of the game since then, but haven't had much luck.
From what I can remember, the game was was set in an Eastern Bloc type country and the aim of the game was to either overthrow the existing government and install your own, or stop other groups from overthrowing your own goverment. The viewpoint was an isometric view where you could rotate and zoom in to street level to see what was going on in the city. If I recall correctly you could tip off police to rebel meetings, set up your own resistance and assasinate other party leaders.
I remember buying the game when it came out, but it ran so shockingly I had to return it but would love another chance to take a crack at it!
