Name that song how?

Hey ocuk, ive seen a few adverts on tv, for the song recogniser, in which you need to record a little of the song and play it down the phone to some device, which in turn attempts to tell you the song, basically i am looking for any online services that offer this, any help appreciated.

If you want the soundtrack used on an advert there are numerous websites that actually have databases of adverts with the appropriate soundtracks.

it was played in the union, asked the dj but they swap quite regularly, he wasnt sure as i didnt ask straight away. i fail. =[

If you can't give any clues then next time you hear it use Shazam (2580 on your phone keypad) and they should be able to help. If you want us to have a guess then one or more of the following would help: artist/genre/rough age of song/any lyrics.

I tried it a couple of times, to get this background track to some porn.

Didnt work. Tried again with the speaker on full, didnt work either and the housemate wasnt too impressed, his dad was at the front door.

WalkeruK - so it's go no lyrics whatsoever? And it's a dance track? Does it sound classical at all (William Orbit/Tiesto - Barber's Adagio for Strings as a massively random guess) or anything else you can give to help?
