Hello and welcome to another edition of name tha....ok ok I'll cut to the chase

Basically taking off my Akasa Vortexx neo thing to put it on my new 4850. However, in attempting to take off the ram things they fell apart. So:

What are the sticky things called?
Where can I get some more?

I know I need to buy some cleaning fluid to get the last bits off the ram, but was just wondering if OCUK also stock the other thing I need....

Thermal pads and yes you can buy some though we can't say where as it's against forum rules.

are you sure its the epoxy version ? if you have the standard thermal compound like here then it wont stick

Lol thats the one I have! Ok, well what, buy that epoxy artic silver stuff and spread a bit on each ram sink?

Only if you never want to remove the heatsink again. What would happen if the fan went? I'd recommend using the proper stuff. Akasa Thermal Interface Pads (ShinEtsu PCS-TC-11) is what you should be looking for.
