Name that US cooking program (90's?)

The opening titles were the chef/presenter walking up to his 'apartment' in somewhere like New York or Chicago.

That was obviously a set I think, where he presented the show from.

All I remember was it was an older guy.

I have no idea why but I sometimes used to watch it as a kid. I didn't really care much for cooking.

Nope, not that.

It might have been late 80's, but I watched it in the 90's.

I can't even remember what channel it was on but it's possible it was Sky One, as we had Cable TV quite early - I think that was called Telewest.
