Back in 2008, a 1996 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Ghia in stunning white.

Optional body coloured bumpers too, because "swag"? :p

Edit: Just made me realise that my current car was the 'oldest' when bought at 13 years old. How things change!

1996 Corsa 1.4 16v. Had it up to 115mph on my private highway, the only thing ever to break was the clutch cable. Most reliable car I've ever owned. Electric windows, electric mirrors, windy windy sunroof.

That's so cool, any pics?

There is a build thread on here but photobucket changing it's rules sort of killed all of the images, not updated it in about a year as I haven't really done anything in the last 12 months with it.

I ran it for 4 and a half years before taking it off the road.

Need to get it sorted.

2005 BMW 120D - 5 door and ugly. Whoever bought it originally has some interesting ideas. Leather seats but not heated. No automatic lights or wipers but an upgraded hifi.

sounds like my current car, they sprang for the auto lights, auto wipers, full leather, voice activated bluetooth and no electric/heated seats

admittedly the lack of heated seats isnt a big issue given the engine takes about 10 seconds (and as many gallons of fuel) to warm up

It was this: Bought in 1986 (1300cc) when I was 20. IIRC 'T' reg? (dont ask me what year that was) Had a respray too, which hid all multitude of sins which I found out to my cost.

I kept it for 4 years in total, I drove it for 2 of those, it failed the MOT before finding out it was basically held together with filler. I tried putting it back on the road but I was told it was uneconomical to do that so it was scrapped. Thirsty car & gutless.

1981 Austin Allegro 1.3 HL. I got it in 1990 so wasn't that old but was quite the banger. It had plenty of rust problems, sills, floor, doors, boot.

Had it for quite a few years before the exhaust system fell off.

'Upgraded' to a Mini Metro 1.0L.

K-reg (1972) Mark 1 Ford Escort bought in March 1981 (after passing test) from backstreet garage in Northampton. More rust than steel and if it hadn't got written off by some moron ploughing in the back of it, would probably have been a scrapper at the next MOT.
