right

basically - the song starts with some keyboard/synth, then theres a female voice over that says "potentially damaging" then theres some seriously heavey guitar like palm muted open power chord or soemthing.

lyrics i recall are (no particular order)

"you see it, i feel it, one man freak show"

"walk right past me, and avoid me, like im even there"

and its got a seriously killer riff in, and a solo that fades in, its seriously fast (very petrucci) and ends in three quite long bends.

sure its dream theatre, please help :(

Definitely 100% sure that it's Freak by James Labrie, as your description fits the song exactly. This was the only video I could find on YouTube with the song in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OfGxS1QvgI
It's a video of Constantine, so nothing to do with whatever, but what matters is that it has the song in the background.

James LaBrie - Freak

From his Elements of Persuasion solo album. Really good album, Marco Sfogli (guitarist) has a lot of talent. Thought it was JP first time I heard the album.

Aye he's an awesome guitarist, very JP influenced and he fully acknowledges this, I sometimes much prefer his soloing to JP's, especially on the slower stuff, the solos on Smashed and Slightly Out of Reach from Elements of Persuasion are awesome and very melodic.

Oh and btw it's Theater :p Dodgy American spelling.

John petrucci, guitarist for dream theater.

He is worshiped by young impressionable youths who think his a leet guitarist

He means

"He is worshipped by youths who are easily-impressioned because they think he is a very good (leet/1337) guitarist."

I was slightly intoxicated last night and took offence since I'm a DT fan :)
