Sounds like it could be Elbow (I don't know them well enough)

I'd guess the song is up to 5 years old, indie/rock/pop type music

One chorus line has something like 'with a neat twist'


-hmm, scoured amazon previews, don't think it's Elbow, a bit more rocky than them

95% sure it's not Elbow, tried Last FM.

It's slower music that say, The Enemy, but quicker than Elbow, quicker than Doves, also it isn't "The Futureheads - The Beginning Of The Twist", kinda similar though

I assume your not referring to akala - shakespeare (I'm almost 100% certain your not but theres a certain similiar lyric and there are slower remixes of it).
 
^Nope, it's 100% indie/rock/pop type music

It could even be "like a sweet kiss", when I hear any other song by the band, I'll instantly know who it is. I've heard it on the radio multiple times, but I rarely listen to the radio :/
 
The logic is there, but sadly, no.

I'd say they sound like a mix of Killers / The Vines / Elbow, lead singer sounds like he's at least 30
 
Right, I reckon the song is by Editors. If it's not them, then the singer sounds exactly the same. Trawling youtube at the moment to find it..

What I mean is the songs are laid out in chronological order, and titled properly, which would be easier than trawling YT and seeing the same 3 songs over and over with slightly different titles :)

I've stuck them on in the background, I'll keep an ear open
