Named driver on a policy

Does this allow you to drive another car third party i.e. for a test drive?

In all my insurance documents it has stated that named drivers are not permitted to drive other cars.

Best to check the insurance document but I suspect you will not be able to drive using DOC even if the policy holder has it...it's normally policy holder only.

Bah, day insure won't even insure me either.

Friend will have to do the testing then!

I wouldn't allow someone with DOC to test drive a car I was selling anyway, comp policy only

If day insure won't cover you, take out a full policy with someone (pay monthly so minimal cost initially) and then cancel it shortly afterwards, will cost you ~£20 in total which is the cancellation fee.

This is what I did to test drive a car as day insure wouldn't cover me on a group 16 car.

This car is a Ford Puma! No idea why they will not insure me
