Naming schemes are dumb and getting dumber

PC part naming schemes have always been awful, but it seems recently to have gone completely off the rails. We've got monitors with multiple suffixes and prefixes eg the "ACER Nitro XV431CPwmiiphx". We have motherboard chipset names that feel like AMD and intel just trolling each other eg. B550 and B560 launching 6 months apart as competing products. Nvidia and their tis and supers and different cards with the same name eg the multiple 1060s. Radeon launching the same card with several different names. eg. RX 480, RX 580, RX590. intel and their core i912900ks cpu names getting longer and longer

And now rumour suggest that AMDs next CPU line is going to be the 7000 series, and their next GPU line is going to be the 7000 series. I mean come on!

I completely agree with this - I was actually trying to find news about the upcoming AMD 7000 CPUs and google thought I was asking about the GPUs until I specified.

It might be time to make naming standards a microservice AI - we could call it ... HAL 7000?

Something like Samsungs current mobile phones naming would be easier to follow if sounding a bit generic and boring.

RXYYxx

Where YY is the year and xx the model. An RX2290 would be the 2022 model of the 6900 as an example.
RXT2280 for 6800xt etc
