I enjoy a bit of email scambaiting when I'm bored.
I play dumb and waste their time by asking questions each time they reply to me. The replies they send are usually brief, often terse and impatient insisting on payment of a fee in return for millions of dollars.
Most scammers just disappear and stop responding to my inane, relentless questioning as soon when they realise I am just stringing them along.
My current scammer, who uses the name Nancy Mabawah, is offering me millions of dollars and all I have to do is pay an admin/legal fee of 3000 dollars to proceed.
This scammer is a bit unusual. Nancy Mabawah replies with lengthy, well thought out responses. Even, when I called her out for being being a scammer, tries explain the reason why her (His?) name "falsely" appears on scambait and scammers warning sites. A cut above your usual scam merchant. This scammer still seems to think ther's a chance of fleecing me.
