Nando's Sauce

Dont get the nandos sauce, get the nandos rub. It's great for doing your own chicken on the BBQ. Back at uni when we used to light the BBQ up used to stick this stuff on all the time, was b e a utiful.

Anyone got a homemade sauce?

I've tried Tobasco but doesn't hold onto wings very well.

I made a killer chilli sauce with my lemon drop and scotch bonnet chillies, garlic, onion, vinegar and sugar. It was jesus wept nice! I forgot I had it, then found it last weekend in time for a BBQ and it went down so well they polished off the lot!

I really don't like their sauce. I have my nando's plain. Not because I can't take the heat but because I just don't like it, I much prefer them with just the marinade. Never tried the lemon one but I don't think I'd enjoy it much.

I'm salivating just thinking about their extra hot sauce with chips & peri peri spice

^I go for the Lemon & Herb with my chicken pitta, but then lay the spice on the chips

I only put peri-peri nando sauce on chicken burgers. I buy these non frozen (fresh) breaded chicken breasts from M&S and i cook them in the oven with some wedges. I then buy some fresh rolls (buns) from the local bakery and make a chicken burger. Put some m&s mayo at the bottom with the chicken breasts on top with some tomato and some nando sauce, some mayo for the wedges. I cook this about once a week, one of my favorite meals :D

They don't have that much flavour really, just good for some extra heat. The lemon and herb or and that new fangled mango one are much nicer.

Always put the hot stuff on your chips however
