Nanny State in action again

Not that outrageous, a cut tin can be very sharp. I have a inch and a half long scar on my wrist from reaching into one almost empty of sugared almonds as a kid. If the advert mentioned taping up the cut side, it would be fine. im sure.

Don't have a problem with it. If it saves one kid from being cut then not seeing that advert on TV will have been worth it.

To be fair I agree with the decision. Okay heinz says they have instructions about taping up the edges on their website but they didnt show that in the video.

I could see many a young child just grabbing an unprotected tin and cutting themselves. Also in the advert the trained performances were tossing and spinning the empty cans. Fine if you have the skills, not so when your 6 year old tries to copy it with an untaped tin.

Pretty stupid idea by Heinz marketing IMO.

In this day and age, why the hell do we use tins. We should use little plastic tubs that can't hurt us.

Then we can ban plasters!

It's a sensible decision. Maybe they should start using plastic tubs and they could market them as "Bongo Beans"

Strange decision. Here's a cool video that wasn't banned. Doing the same thing only better.

?? You have trouble telling the difference between clapping with cups that are designed to be safe when drinking from and razor sharp tin cans? LOL really?

Also I remember seeing the Heinz advert and the tape they recommend using to soften the edges of the Tin cans was not visible in the advert at all.

So yea, not surprised it got removed, stupid idea.

No trouble. Are you a H&S person? Grow a pair.

No point going back and forth, they should have shown the cans being taped or with the tape on them to protect the edges. The edges of tin cans are extremely sharp and although I don't expect many adults would hurt themselves. I am fairly sure some young kids could easily mimic the advert and injure themselves. It's a really stupid idea :|
