For some inexplicable reason my ipod nano 6th gen has stopped working, it works fine when plugged in, as soon as I unplug it the power goes off... I doubt anyone on here will be able to help me but just looking for a bit of guidance on what to do next...

I bought the ipod from ebay, it was a replacement for a recall so was brand new... Can I take this into an apple store to arrange repair or do I have to send it off in the post? Either way, how much am I looking at paying... Looking at the Apple website, it seems I have to pay just to register the problem.

Thanks in advance.

I doubt it will come with a full 12 month warranty if it was a recall replacement it's more likely to be only 3 months. Similar to refurb replacements.

Ask the ebay seller maybe he gives warranty ?
One time my phone broke after 2 years of using and ebay seller just replaced it without questioning.

Just actually checked the ebay listing, says it came with a 30 day warranty starting from 30th of April.

Made an appointment at the local Apple store, will see what they say.

My girlfriends third gen was playing up and I couldn't restore it, the genius did something to wipe it and it seems fine since. Not the same problem I know, but they try to help and can do a few things quickly on old out of warranty devices.

Other than that the battery replacement service (if that's what is required) is £39 I believe.
