I'm reusing my current Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Case for a forthcoming upgrade. This case has two 120mm front fans and a rear 140mm fan. The front fans are connected to channel 1 of the integrated front panel fan controller and the rear fan to the second channel. The fan speed is set manually

The ROG Strix Z790 board I'm going to use has lots of fan controller connections which would provide more precise control of the fan speed. Has anyone done this and know whether the supplied Nanoxia fans are 3 pin or 4 pin?

Even if the fans are 3 pin your motherboard will be able to control them just fine. Usually PWM (4 pin) is best as allows control of a wider range, but you should be able to control it without issues.
