=== Nanoxia Performance Fluids - Available Now ===

This is not a thermal paste. AS5, MX-2 etc are thermal pastes. This is water with colouring and antibacterial/anticorrosion things in.

I'm not interested in your all encompassing opinion of German products. I am making the point that squirting thermal paste into a water cooling loop is a stupid idea, in case someone reads Superewza's post and destroys their system based upon it. To clarify why this is so I must mention conductivity, viscousity and heat capacity. If you don't know what any of these words mean, by all means ask wikipedia.

No, I have not researched this. Feser one is crap, and this costs 8 times what deionised costs. There's not much hope of it outperforming water for 8 quid, but I suppose I should consult google.

Google doesn't seem to consider it worth of review. Care to link to whatever has convinced you it's better performing than water?

So no idea is a good idea as far as you are concerned.

You're dodging questions and talking nonsense.

no one is working on mixing thermal interface material with water to pump around a water cooling loop. For really obvious reasons that I've even stated explicitly. Better coolants than water exist, but in the temperature range involved in the home pc they're inappropriate. This is a means of avoiding algae and mixing metals in your loop, not of achieving lower temperatures.

I can't find any review on this, let alone one which says it works better than water. Distinct lack of any links from you, and you're now down to personal attacks and triple posting.

Sorry for tripple posting, i never realised until you said.

Just google Nanoxia performance fluids, it will tell you what they are aiming for

What a load of blah.

Distilled water and a silver coil is all you need.

Agree with this to date. All coolants are dis water with additives anyway.

But always looking for better.

Will leave this thread as reflx said, if my questions are not valid.

LOL look what happened

what I meant was, are the differences in thermal performance between coolants, similar to the differences we see in the thermal performances of thermal pastes.

I don't know how paste ended up IN the coolant

Short of mercury, water has gotta be best:)

@Shadow, thanks for the link.

@moremoney, you're proposing replacing water with thermal paste. Super doesn't understand the issues with this either, but he isn't continuing to argue in favour of it. This isn't your fault, nor any real concern of mine. I shall have to leave you to your ignorance. As long as no one actually tries this no harm will be done.

Interestingly, though I cannot quote properly as the thread was closed by moderators, here we have a confession by moremoney.

1 i have the wrong glasses on so i hope this is spelt right.

2 When i joined all i wanted was enough posts to buy and sell on MM.

3 So i got involved and posted rubbish.

4 Got enough posts for MM

5 Still post rubbish because i can't help myself and i love to play devils advocate.

6 Please help me rid myself of this addiction

So I presume your efforts to derail this thread was your concept of devils advocate? Shameful, I'm going to ask a mod to delete both of our posts from this thread.

Id love to see the pump needed to push thermal paste through a watercooling loop, something like this methinks:D

You can do so and if they agree i do not mind.

It is sad that you think that i have tried to derail your thread i never meant to.

I am always open to new ideas.

Take no notice of GD threads, to me ithey are not serious.

But does that mean you say i am wrong, or do you just not agree with my future prediction of paste in the loop instead of water.

Or even paste with water.

silver kills bacteria

moremoney - you really are arguing for arguments sake

if you have nothing constructive to add - say nothing

You are welcome to disagree. I only ask that you do so coherently and are prepared to back up statements with either rational or with links. Irrational disagreement, devoid of links, combined with failing to read or understand any replies, is not welcome.

Thermal paste in or replacing water will not work, and will never work, and that you cannot grasp why after any of the above suggests that you never will do.

Spiteful.
