Hi guys, my brother has just brought a second hand copy of NaTW. We've tried to install it but it says we need a Steam accout to play. Is there any way of installing and playing without connecting or subscribing to steam as he doesnt have an internet connection. I've never used steam before so please excuse my ignorance, thanks in advance.
 
Ignore that - Just read that it needs to authenticate online through steam before you can play, sounds like hes screwed.

It's a Steamworks game, so no, you need a Steam account. Whilst Steam can work offline, I don't think you can create an account offline. It will say on the box that the game requires a net connection.

If it's second hand, you may find it's already tied to a Steam account anyway, so you won't be able to use it, it will just say your key is in use. If that happens, you need to start sending stuff to Steam trying to explain your situation and hope they let you have it (and possibly ban the account of the person who sold it or something along those lines)
