Narrow road and the school run!

Looking for advise or any similar experiences.

The road where I have brought a bungalow last year is very narrow and has a school across from the entrance. The main road isn't that wide either which leads to all types of fun at school drop and pickup. Normally I would avoid these times.

Today I had to nip out and forgot the time, when I turned into the road two vehicles were parked on half and half on the grass verge, it was tight getting past these then I meet grumpy arse, he saw me struggle to get past the other vehicles but just sat there eyes to the front. He made no attempt to move and after a conversation after would probably not have done so if asked. So I had no choice other than to try and get past, was very very tight and I scrapped my front wheel doing so.

I parked up and then went to see why he wouldn't move and explain because of how he parked I scrapped my wheel. " I'm doing nothing wrong, want me to call the police" he said, ok we not getting anywhere here then so I left it.

Now was he blocking access, been inconsiderate or was it my fault for trying to get past and if so what suppose I supposed to do?

My vehicle is a long wheel base Ford Transit with less than 500 miles on the clock and cost and arm and a leg, so yes I'm ******. Its not a massive scrape but I don't think that's the point|

He's not psychic. He can't be at fault if you haven't asked whether he would move for you before you scraped your wheel. If you had asked him beforehand and he said no, then you could call him inconsiderate, but you never asked him. So, he's done nothing wrong and I think it's somewhat of an invasion of privacy to put his photo and car up on an internet forum.

Yup true but you don't have to be psychic to see me struggle past two cars on a verge, then realise its going to be a right squeeze getting past me, wait ill move to make way.

Nah I'll just sit here engine running and ignore everything cause I can!

I'm sorry but who the hell buys a long wheel base transit built as a works vehicle and puts 20 inch alloys on it!?

It's as bad as people that do the school run in a transporter.

May I ask why you decided to do such a thing?

Cause I liked it and wanted a van, that OK with you :)

I'm not seeing what was stopping you mounting the kerb, everyone and their mums dogs car seems to be at it:

It's not like you're scrabbling up a 4 inch high kerb or climbing down the same, there's a dropped kerb before and after which has clearly been used multiple times already.

I was coming the other way, did say I struggled past the first to cars in the picture. The post put me off plus I really thought he would move, by then it was to late.
