narrows it down..

hey guys,

i have narrowed it down to two cards, a pre-owned r9 290 or a new 380 STRIX GPU.

What would you guys go for?

also there is still warranty on the 290.

i think i would go for the pre owned 290 as long as it has a decent cooler on it, my favorites were the sapphire tri x and the powercolor pcs+, i would also wait untill polaris is out, if nothing else it could drive the second hand prices down a bit

Made the right decision. The 290 is a superior card to the 380 in terms of performance (and hopefully you got it cheaper too).

hey mate, yeah i got a good price and the 6 month warranty in case..but fully boxed and accessories too.

looking forward to it. one more thing, is it a myth or will it being AMD run better with my 8350?

Some games might be closer but the 290 would always be faster.

Do you know what model of 290 you got? It wasn't the stock version was it?
