Hi,
i was just wondering, i have a linux based server myself and am in the process of setting up a network for a freind who wants to be able to access the same files from several machines as does his daughter but his files shouldnt be accessible by the daughter (if u get what i mean )
I was thinking of setting up a server for him, but ive been wondering if a NAS thats running Samba would provide the same user access control that a standard server running samba would?
I figure it would becouse shared storage REALLY needs to have some sort of access control, but i dont want to spend £££ of his money on something that may or might not work

so does anyone know if NAS do have user access control or not?
REally appreaciate help THanks!
