Nas and general network query

Hello all,

I've set up a wireless network using an old Airport Extreme b/g and an old Airport Express b/g set up in a wireless distribution System. The Airport Extreme is the base station and is plugged into a Netgear DGN1000 modem.

My setup:

Downstairs Main PC connected by cable to the Netgear DGN1000

Airport Extreme connected to the modem. Zyxel NAS connected to the Airport Extreme. Airport Express wirelessly connected to the Airport Extreme.

Laptop upstairs (and various other wireless devices) connect to the wireless network.

My problem is that there is a break between the netgear and the airport extreme. My 'main pc' (which is wired to the netgear) can't access the NAS attached to the airport. My iPad AND laptop (connected to the wireless) can access the nas, but can't connect to my main pc.

If I connect the nas to the netgear, then my PC can see it, but it's not available to the those on the wireless network.

In short, how can I creat an open network between all these things?

I'm not very good at networking, and the legacy airport setup software is an absolute bloody nightmare.

Thanks for any advice.

For info:

I've fixed it.

I was playing around with the Airport Extreme base station and I changed its mode to 'Bridged'. This means it doesn't have anything to do with NAP or DHCP and I presume it hands back responsibility to the Netgear Router for this stuff. I now have a fully accessible network.
