NAS between a Mac and PC?

Is this possible?

I'm thinking about buying an ethernet external HDD so I can store my media files, including iTunes library, so they are available to both my PC and my girlfriends Mac.

In theory it should work.. but what about the file system?
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Anyone know of anything a little cheaper before I go for a 207.128??
Needs to have iTunes compatibility tho...

I never did get round to buying the 107... however I am now definetly going to buy it and stick in a 1TB F1.

One last question.. will this be compatible for a PS3 to see it as a Media Server.
I am going to store a few 9GB video files on there... will the bandwidth be sufficient?
