Good morning,

Just a quick one really. Currently have an old Samsung NC10 notebook running windows with a usb2 hard-drive plugged in and using as a server which i then use a Pi2 with OSMC to play media from in the lounge.

I wouldnt invisage using the NAS a great amount more then for this reason so am interested in a Pi2 setup as will take up less space and potentially be a bit more reliable/save a bit on power draw. Happy to move over to a linux based solution

Main question is, am i likely to see a performance hit in serving my media vs what i currently have? i dont use any transcoding as the OSMC does all that it literally just serves the media.

Have done a bit of background reading so aware of the USB2 limitation however similar to what the NC10 will be experiencing?

Thank you for any input
