Hi all,
Currently looking at Thecus N7700, Thecus N7700 pro, Synology DS509+ and Netgear RNDP600E pro pioneer.

Anyone use any of the above? Or suggest an alternative?

I was thinking of the Drobo Pro but have heard a few horror stories.

Thanks

Hi, probably around 4Tb needed at the moment, but I need a NAS that is easily expandable. Speed isnt a huge issue as it will be used for archived data only.

Thanks

Depends on your environment then really, the drobo pro is tempting for non technical environments as it is easily expandable and simple solution (and the problems are less serious for for archiving use).

As little as I like to recommend netgear kit, the readynas range is pretty good and you could do worse than the pro pioneer really. All expensive though...

Thanks, yes all the options are pricey.
I will let you know which one I get :) Its not my money but I will be the one looking after it in the office.
