NAS Gen8 Option vs Solid Run

Im alittle lost here

Ive just ordered a Solid Run 4pro in the hope to setup Kodi and link it then to a NAS storage device which i also need some help with.

Would it be a better option to look at getting a gen8 micro server and doing it that way? is that possible?

I currently have about 3tb of data which i would want to be accessible across all laptops / kodi.

I'm completely lost

NAS or Microserver will do it's up to you and the budget you have.

Microserver will take bit more work due to it will require you to install an OS.
