NAS Synology 210, what else will I need?

I'm thinking of getting a synology DS210J. I have a linksys wag54gx2 router which has has a 10/100 Ethernet connection.

If I want to get the most out of the NAS speed wise would I need to get a 1000 ethernet switch as well to plug into the router and the NAS? Or will have to get a new router with a gigabyte Ethernet connection?

Totally new to all this so don't have a clue.

does your pc have a gigabit ethernet port?
if so then all you need is a gigabit switch - plug pc into gb switch plug nas into gb switch and plug router into gb switch

you will only get 10/100 speed if you connect things through your existing router

Thanks I just found a gigabyte switch for £22 so not too bad.
