NAS Upgrade

I currently have a NAS with 2 x 3TB HDD's that i'm looking at upgrading but i'm wondering how i can do it.

I'd rather not buy a new unit with 2 x 6TB (for example) drives and just utilise the unit i have now with new drives.

If I was to do this, could I move the current HDD's into my PC and transfer the data to the new drives or would that not work?

I’m really not sure. That’s what I was hoping I could do but just wanted to find out first before being in for a shock

It’s a D-Link 320L with latest firmware so larger (3tb +) drives are acceptable

Was looking at those but at the moment can't afford the cost of replacing the NAS and hdd's

Have tested the drives this morning; removed one 3Tb drive and put a spare 500GB to see what happened. Worked fine and able to swap around with the setup I have
