Help!

A friend's laptop is full of spyware, all because she wanted to watch Desperate Housewives.

Removed all the viruses, but it won't let me into Vista (or only for a minute) before it blue screens

Safe mode is fine, i can get on the internet but can't download any anti-spyware software because they won't install in safe mode??

Any ideas?

Make a new account on the system and use that instead of the infected account.

download some stuff on another pc and transfer using a usb stick or something. install in safe mode and run

take the HDD out of the laptop, if it's a SATA drive then plug it into your PC and clean it out from there.

Run combofix in safe mode, that should remove the nasties and let you boot back in normal mode
