Lo all,

Im trying to get Azureus to work on my PC upstairs but it just wont connect, when i use the wizard and try to test the port for NAT/firewall compatibility it tells me "NAT Error".

Ive tried doing all the stuff that the Azureus Wiki suggests but nothing helps. I am posting here due to the fact that this is a network based problem and isnt specific to Azureus as i have this for all bittorrent programs ive tried (and yes, im only using it for legal downloads before anyone asks)

My PC upstairs is running XP and is connected to the g/fs PC that is downstairs.

Her PC is the gateway, also running XP and i am using a basic Speedtouch ADSL modem. im onnected to the net through Internet Connection Sharing.

Both PCs are using Zonealarm as the firewall.

Can anyone explain what might be causing this and a way around it, preferably in an idiot proof way :D

so there's no router involved here then?! odd one. Most likely either Zone Alarm or Windows Firewall causing issues here then. I take it internet browsing is fine?

try disabling, or even uninstalling Zone Alarm, it can cause a lot of problems with Bittorrent as i remember it. uninstall that, and disable windows firewall for now too. see if you have any luck then and then take it from there
