Hey guys and girls,

Just recently installed COD Modern Warfare 2 on PC (I know, I know, been hiding under a rock for a while).

Anyway, I've been trying to play multiplayer and I just cant seem to find/join any matches.

Ive done some google searching but Im so confused right now.

Basically, MW2 shows my NAT Type as Open (Hooray!) But, I cant join a single match, MW1 works fine, the server list refreshes every time and I play on them no probs.

Why is the multiplayer setup for MW1 so different to MW2?

Ive got Sky Broadband with an ADSL Sagem F@ST 2504 router and the latest firmware - 2.8, wired connection. I found infinityward.com/nat really useless, I did what it said and enabled UPnP on the router and in Windows (my network places - show UPnP devices and excluded it from Windows Firewall.) Still no joy.

Im not clued up on networking and Im getting really confused with all this Port Forwarding, DMZ etc, I dont want to leave my router wide open and dont understand why every other online game works fine apart from MW2?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, laymans terms are always welcome! :D

Update:

Managed to get it working, I rebooted the router, set it to default settings and enabled UPnP in XP and on the router as per infinityward.com/nat. Also excluded it from XP firewall. Tried searching for a match, it took ages but eventually found a match, since then it seems to find matches a lot quicker.

So god knows why its started working, my guess is after turning UPnP on and finding a match the router is now able to find matches again. I dunno, but at least its working now!
