Well, this might be just a waste of time thread but I just need some advice.

My hair is funny, when I wash it, using shampoo and conditioner, or shampoo or even just conditioner, when I dry it, it goes all....fluffy. Anyone else have this? So the only way to make it...not fluffy is to put lots n lots of wash, gel or any other hair products on it. I've recently started using a moulding cream, which is pretty good and holds my hair, but it stills makes it looks quite greasy as I need to put a lot on to keep it down. Thats what I dont want, I dont want a greasy look. I want a natural look. I want my hair to just sit, and not look fluffy. Also, when I use this cream stuff and want to like run my fingures through my hair to style it, it all bunches up and goes all weird aswell.

I just want my hair to sit and look natural, and not to go all puffy and fluffy whenever I wash it. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong or how to achieve this? Or is there any good products on the market to get a good look for my hair?

My hair isnt long, but its not very short...if that helps any.

I'm not obsessed with Oasis or anything, and I don't want to look like Liam Gallagher, but I kinda like the way his hair sits, its not fluffy, its not greasy...it just sits, so thats a kindof example of what I want to achieve.

Conditioner makes your hair fluffy, so using it (or too much) will definately make things worse. Try just using shampoo, or at most a 2in1 for a week or so and see if you notice any difference.

I always thought it was the shampoo that make my hair more fluffy?

Conditioner still makes it fluffy, but I thought that the shampoo make it worse.

Thanks for the advice guys, some products here that i'll need to have a go using.

Any more ideas are welcome :)

Mellownatts, how do you get your hair thinned? Is it done specially by a stylist or something?

Do you think that its up to the way I have my hair cut, rather than the way I'm washing it, or the styling products I'm using on it??

Thanks all!

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'll need to get some of that American Crew Fiber :) will pick some up this weekend hopefully.

I'm also going to go and get my hair styled, not sure what to get done with it though.

Where can i get crew fibre from on the high street?

I want to know the answer to this question aswell.

I've looked on the Boots site, as I won't be near any shops until probably the weekend, and they have non listed on their site. Not sure what other shops would have it.

This morning, before I wen't to Work I tried just drying my hair a little, and then applying some of the Moulding Cream I use, but no use, I kept needing to put more on just to keep it down, and just looks greasy again.

I'm going to go to stylist on Saturday maybe, get it done and speak to them, see what they can do about it. I might ask to get my Hair like Liam Gallaghers in that first Picture, its a pretty good hair cut imo. I quite like it. Do you think if I wen't in and explained to them that I wanted my hair similar to Liam Gallaghers, they would know what I'm on about?
I've never been to a stylist before, just a normal barber. :o

It's time to try something new :D

Can someone answer my question about this please? :) Its just I'm not sure what to ask for if I go to a stylist as I've never been to one before.

Well it depends if they know who he is, you could take in a picture i guess to be totally safe so you can show the exact hair cut that you want. Best to ask if they think that type of haircut will suit you, or what is the best style for you.

Hmm, I was thinking that most hair dressers would know who he was and what his hair was like. I've not really got a picture, the only way I could get one would be to print one off, which I can't as my Printer at home has no Ink :|

Its ok, I know a local place where I can get it done.

My only concern is that he'll know what I mean if I ask him to make my Hair similar to Liam Gallaghers.
