Natwest debit card number.

Depends how Natwest do it. I know HSBC Maestro card numbers are 6759 + Sort Code + Account number.

Then all you'd need to remember was the Issue, Expiry and CVV,

Get a credit card. What would you do if your card stopped working you would have no way of paying for stuff (short of going into a branch with passport to withdraw cash). Don't most people have at least 2 cards?

Let me be the first and probably not last to say no.

am i the only person who knows my card details off by heart?

i also know my both my uni card numbers (one's 7 digits and the others 15)

it's a bit of a problem though - it means i can order things online without having to get up and get my wallet - much less opportunity to rethink what is usually a bad decision :p

Nope. If you order new card (for whatever reason) you will get a new number.

Oh, so you're telling me the person that actually works for Natwest gave me incorrect information?

I asked twice when I was on the phone because I wasn't sure if I heard right, and I will keep the same details.

Hold yer horses, no need for a rolleyes smilie dude :) You asked for an opinion on a public forum and I offered one (having worked for various banks for 22 years. admittedly in IT rather than on the business side).

:D

I got a new card yesterday because I lost my old one, and I definitely got a new number and new pin. It was a natwest debit card.

Yeah that's the thing - You lost your old one. I didn't.

If you report it as lost, they'll give you new numbers, if you report it as damaged, they'll stay the same.

Was your old card a Maestro one? If so then the number will change, as Natwest are switching all debit cards onto visa.

I just received my replacement yesterday (my card wasn't lost, was faulty)
