Even though they have 24 hour call centres they can help me so would anyone know why when i asked for a replacement debt card i got a gold (vs blue old) one also name has changed!

Servicecard 100 (Blue)

-vs-

Servicecard 250 (Gold)

Does this mean they have put me onto one of those monthly payment account or just a change?

The number relates to the value that the card can be used to Guarantee cheques for I believe, eg your old card would guarantee a £100 cheque whilst the new card will do £250, I doubt that would imply any changes to the account and the addition of a monthly payment...

At the bottom of the card below the 16 digit card number and your name, there should be the account type. If it says Advantage Gold or Advantage Private, then you have an account you pay a monthly fee for, but they wouldn’t upgrade you to one of these accounts without you requesting it.

The difference between the Blue Servicecard 100 and Gold Servicecard 250 is you can guarantee cheques up to £250 instead of £100.
