Hi guys, does anyone play the Naval Action early access on steam?
It's on my list of new games once I build my upcoming PC.
I used to play Pirates of the burning Sea, which I enjoyed, and wonder if it is going to have the same sort of trading gameplay etc?

Yea the video is really informative. The combat looks great but I was hoping for something a little bit more in depth. I know it's in early access but "teleport"? Instant battles? Fast mode when traveling, and immune to enemy ships?
I wanted a more "in depth" experience. Longer voyages "obviously not real time" but a voyage you would actually have to prepare for. A voyage where food and water factor in, time of year and weather conditions, imagine having to navigate a storm with huge waves, high winds all in that great looking combat engine they have.
I'll keep an eye on this game, but as of this time apart from the combat I'm disappointed.

It would be good if they could at least make a nod towards the fact that sails aren't made of wood and that wind direction doesn't actually change with the direction of the ship.

sails made of wood? not seen anything like that, chain and ball shots go straight through sails, unless they hit the mast.
I've not noticed the wind changing direction only the compass heading, the wind direction seems to stay constant for me.... unless i'm blind.

So far the combat has been their main focus of development, they know that this is a vital area to sort, hence why other aspects such as the world travel and menus are very lacking.
