Hi,

I have updated my GeForce 6800TX graphic card from the latest file on the Navida site. I followed the instuctions that came with the card using the Navida ******.exe file, and all went well.

Now I cannot get rid of three lots of the pop-up ballons advising of new hardware and starting three lots of the new hardware wizard for "PCI Bridge Device" , "PCI Memory Controller" and "SM Bus Controller".

In Device Manager I have yellow exclamation marks next to these three entries listed under "other devices". If I disable these does this get rid of the problem assuming that these are bogus, not part of the graphics card and I do not need them.

Alternatively should I uninstall and reinstall using the XP Hardware Wizard? This would mean pointing the Wizard to the Navida ******.exe file which I do not think it would recognize, I think it looks for an ****.inf file.

Or is there another way to install the Navida control panel and drivers and get rid of the pop-up balloons and hardware wizard?

Axel

What you have done is uninstall your Nvidia chipset drivers along with your display drivers.

You should have checked the box titled "only uninstall the following"

go back onto the web site and download your motherboard drivers and reintall them(or if you have them on CD)

Axel I made the same mistake! It was my first time uninstalling the nvidia card drivers, but I didn't realise I was uninstalling my chipset drivers too. Pop your motherboard CD in and reinstall the drivers
