Hi,

Very simple question, is my nb temp to high? It does go up to 70 degrees while idling...
What do you guys have, 40 ish?

That is everything at stock voltage / mhz.

As AL said your fine upto 100c, ofcourse the lower the better for peice of mind i guess, mine has never gone over 47c on the hottest of summer days, and is generally high 30's to low 40's.

100 Degrees? Hmmmmm I'm kinda worried when I start gaming or other stuff... it gets so hot that my raid crashes, I've had it happen a few times...

So I was looking at another motherboard, possibly Asus P6X58D-E...

My systems feels rather...slow at stock, just not very responsive, my GF's E5200 + raptors feels much faster

Dunno what to do, spend 220 Euros or keep this... 70 degrees idle seems hot and as you are saying 40 degrees max :S

Try getting one of those antec spot cool cans, and have it over the Heatsink to see if that helps, or cable tie a normal case fan onto it. Its worth testing to see if that helps it, as its a cheap fix. And generally does help reduce motherboard temps.

But if you do end up changing motherboard i can highly recommend the Asus P6X58D-E, its a cracking mobo, and they seem to have gotten cheaper then when they launched too.
