With the Finals over and a champion determined the last season appears to be over and Draft night is upon us! I figure this is as good a place as any to start a new season thread!

This year the Cavs have the 1st pick and it seems like they might be going for Nerlens Noel a 6'10" centre coming off ACL surgery.

In other news it seems as though there are rumours swirling of Garnett/Pierce/Terry to the Nets which could be interesting....

Will add more details (start date, schedule etc) as and when they become available!

:)

Pre draft show is streaming on ESPN here: http://espn.go.com/nba/

Oh I didn't realise this great was going.

So;

Rivers to Clips
Strong rumours CP3 staying
Garnett/Pierce and Terry to Nets
Strong rumours Rondo to Mavs
Allen re-signed with Heat
Howard whoring himself with Hawks/Mavs/Rockets
Rumours floating Rondo to Lakers
Ellis apparently trying to get out this year
Cavs ballsed up draft (IMO)
Porter to Wizards is a great pick with Walls/Beal there. A good FA and they are contenders.

Looking like another quiet summer for the Heat (barring a re-sign of Allen and optioning Chalmers) whereas I would like to see movement concerning Bosh.

I would still label Miami among the better teams but they need some movement to stay up there with a fading roster (minus Bron ofc)

Can't see who will improve. Pacers will thanks to experience, Knicks will fade, Celtics are gone. Nets could be interesting with a starter of Garnett/Pierce/Lopez/Williams/??? But they still lack any rotations. Wizards will be interesting but lack depth and Cavs are ****** again.

West Lakers are done (trolololol) TWolves will flatter to decieve again, Thunder won't be any better, Spurs could be interesting if Leonard and co improve now the big three are fading. Got to fancy Clips this year in the West as they will do better simply for staying together and getting Doc.

Rockets will be interesting the year but we'll see.

At the moment pre-FA/Trades despite being weaker I don't see many obvious challengers to the Heat at the mo.

Also, 2rings for Bron and the Heat now, FUUUUUUUUUUU haters :p:D

I reckon the Cavs are banking on LeBron coming home.....not sure it's going to work out though :p

Howard apparently meeting the Rockets tonight at 9pm Pacific. I'd be happy but only if we get productive Howard and not the whiny man child version.....

Miami have to play it all on keeping Bron.

The Cavs are still a mess so no reason for him to head back, more likely for Irving to head to Miami (if he can keep fit for more than a half dozen games)

TBH - I don't think there's room for Dwight and Blake in the clippers. Neither of them can stretch the floor, both are gonna cram the paint, and Clips would have to destroy their roster to afford him, leaving very little room to get decent roleplayers.

Camby, Novak AND a first round pick for Barganni :o

No wonder the Knicks fall short every year pulling stunts like that!

Rockets clearing up more cap for Howard, Robinson gone.

Yeah.... why get rid of Novak if you're just gonna get Barganni who can't play an inside game at all and isn't as good a shooter...

I think Dwight gonna go Mavs :P

Apparently Rockets are offering up Asik/Lin if they pick up Howard.

Problem with Howard is he ***** the team around him wanting the big bucks for himself. Complete contradiction to Bron/Wade/Bosh/Duncan/Manu/Parker who give up money for team glory.

If I was Rockets id be going for Rondo then keep Asik and build with role players. I think Howard will be the death of any team he goes too.

Although if Asik comes up would love the Heat to sign him :p

Pistons wanted to talk to Igoudala apparently. Solid defender.

Absolutely no way on earth would I give up Asik if we got Howard though! Lin sure as he hasn't really produced the expected results :(

I would love for Igoudala to come to Chicago... But I think he'd be too expensive :(

He would really fit in with Chicago's game I feel, solid defender, can create off the dribble, decent shooter... Not sure how I feel about signing Dunleavy :/

Eric Bledsoe has gone to Phoenix and JJ Redick is off to the Clippers!

Chase Budinger has re signed with the Timberwolves (verbally at least, 10th July and all that jazz....)
