Very much looking forward to this.

2k9 was a real smack in the face for basketball games on the PC, I also thought it was one of the better games of 2008 (Sports games allways get overlooked by the masses though eh?).

Now what with Online play, this thing is going to keep me entertained for HOURS.

Seriously, anyone play a FULL season, I dont think there are enough hours in the year - lol

Looking forward to this - finally we get the full console version too, so nothing left out :)

The only worry I have is can I plug my PS3 pad straight into my laptop to pay this?

Can wait though and yes ive done a full NBA season once, missed the playoffs :D - not as bad as doing 2 full 162 MLB seasons though... making the playoffs once and still not winning it all :(

I completed a full season on 2k9 but thats was with a lot of computer played games, this looks like a good update though so will definately check it out.

Can't wait for it. Was hoping that they'd bring out College Hoops in the UK too, but that doesn't look like happening.

No sure whether it's the sort of game i'd enjoy on the PC though. If someone gets it, could they post some screenies so i can see the difference in quality, please? And maybe a little review? ;)

Got my copy (not from Steam as they dont seem to have a price still!!) - Game runs pretty nicely on my laptop, plus using the PS3 pad is a dream.

Enjoyable again, a lot more to delve into and the presentation is top notch.

Amazing game. Graphics and general movement is great. Shame it goes a bit slow on my 939 system in highest settings in 1920 x 1200

cool, thanks. I will definitely buy it when steam decide to make it available to buy.
Hopefully it will run OK on my system looking at the recommended requirements.

Yeh, itll work fine. The benchmark in 1920 x 1200 got around 34fps on my system in high settings, no AA

X2 3800+
8800GT
2GB Ram

Runs better than expected. This is in 1920 x 1200, 4XAA in high setting

Does anyone know if Steam are actually going to be selling it or if it is just activated through them and that's why it's on there?

Am sitting here ready to give them my money. :(

Im doing the same - LOL

I am certain you should be able to buy it.

Can anyone with retail confirm if you activate on STEAM as per last year?

Thanks.

Lol. I am nearly weeping with anticipation :p

Also, has anyone started the 'My Player Mode' yet?

If so, do you get to play as your created player solely (like Be a Pro in FIFA) or is it like 2k7 where you play as your 1 player until drafted into the NBA and then it is like the normal Franchise mode?

Really hope it is like Be a Pro even after you are in the NBA...

The game does not require Steam at all this year... my retail copy just installed and thats it.

Another site that you can download from is Gamersgate (i dont think they are a Competitor) at £29 iirc.

Its like the Road to the Show mode in MLB The Show... you just play as your player until he retires... choosing contracts, fighting for place, free agency, training drills etc etc

It needs a patch though as I think the quarters are locked to 5 minutes... which for some is OK, but you wont get realistic stats with that time limit.

Ahh, OK, nice.

Also, the game is selling for £17.99 in some high street stores, so if need be I'll get it from one of those. Just prefer steam as it is easy, and i don't need to keep using the disk then.

I'll give it another few hours and see if there is any info.
